Saudi Workshop on Food Product Reformulation Effectiveness to Improve Population Health

HealthyPath supported the development of a workshop that was held in Saudi on the 20th of March to address the enablers for food reformulation on the sugar front as part of national nutrition strategies. Gulf Standard Organization and Arab Beverage Association hosted the workshop in partnership with AmCham. It brought together over forty stakeholders from the private sector and regulatory bodies, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry, the private sector, and GSO from Oman, Saudi, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain.


The workshop provided an opportunity for public health experts and scientists to share the latest evidence and best practices on food reformulation focusing on sugar reduction in food and beverages.
